Improves mental health services and preserves the rights of therapists to have a voice in how Kaiser provides mental health care.
Provides safe staffing levels and prevents Kaiser from replacing therapists with artificial intelligence.
Restricts Kaiser from laying off therapists in order to outsource even more mental health services, further severing mental healthcare from the rest of Kaiser’s integrated healthcare system.
Retains patient care safeguards therapists have won over the years, but Kaiser is now trying to eliminate, including:
- Sufficient time to respond to patients and coordinate care.
- Rules that help existing patients get timely follow-up therapy appointments.
- Model of Care committees where therapists and managers have worked together to improve patient care.
